We had a standard room for a family of 4 and wished we had more space (no fault of theirs, we booked what they had available), but it was a beautiful location. We loved overlooking the lake, having access to bikes & kayaks, coffee machine in the lobby with all sorts of specialty drinks (hot cocoa was a hit with the kids), & a short 9 minute drive into town. The WiFi was awful so be prepared to be disconnected. Beds were very comfortable.

Close to center Jasper but far enough aware to enjoy the wildlife and enjoy Pyramide Lake views. Comfortable efficient rooms and, oh yeah, the views. Restaurant is very good no need to drive at night. Lots of lake activities, and easy access to trails especially Pyramid Island. We encountered lots of wildlife as we walked the area. We'll be back.

Lovely location with nearby activities. Free canoe ride on the lake with reservation was a nice addition. Slightly cold reception from the front desk when we turned up. Nice big room with lake view and the facilities all worked well.

We had a 3 night stay here and the first 2 nights were wonderful. Great location, there is plenty to do with a comfortable room. However on our 3rd night a family moved in next door and the room went upstairs over our room. Our room was not sound proof. From the minute they checked in all we could hear was footsteps and conversations. They had a late night, and from 11.30pm we were subject to footsteps, thudding and conversations to the early hours of the morning, only to be subject to it again from 7am. Little sleep was had and we had a long drive that day. My husband had to speak to them at some point but this would not have been an issue if the room was sufficiently sound proof. Management are aware as a complaint has been made about this room before. Don’t stay in room 32. Disappointing as it had been a lovely stay to this point.

Rm #32: Check in was smooth and the lady at the desk was pleasant. We received our key cards and directions without issue. Once inside, we found pills on the floor by an end table left from a previous guest. That evening, as we were getting into bed, kids started running and pounding above us, followed by a barking dog. After it continued for some time, we called the desk. We were told there was no one above us, yet there were lit windows directly overhead. We were moved to Rm #17. Staff said someone would help us move, but they only dropped off the new key cards and left. No problem, we handled it. The new unit was recently renovated and definitely nicer, but the fireplace had been left on and the room was 27°C. Even with the fireplace off and heat turned down, it stayed too warm, so we slept both nights with the balcony door open. The next morning, the Keurig flooded the counter. We cleaned it up and notified the desk. We were told a new machine and towels would be brought. When we returned, there were a few rags, the old machine still there, and the new one not plugged in. I removed the old unit and fished the plug out from behind the mini fridge to set it up myself. The room was alright overall, but the renovations looked amateur. As a finishing carpenter and painter, the workmanship was clearly not professional. We love the area. It is a shame the property does not hold higher standards because it has real potential with better upkeep and attention to detail. The biggest disappointment is it seems previous reviews haven't impacted management or staff at all from what we could see.

The hotel is beautiful and the location is stunning. Very peaceful, and the views of the lake and mountains are gorgeous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer complementary ice skates for skating on the lake. The hotel restaurant is also very good. We definitely enjoyed our stay at this place.

We booked a 2 queen bed room for a girls night away for my two daughters and I. We have never stayed at Pyramid Lake Lodge although we frequent the area often, mainly for hiking but we have skated on Pyramid Lake before as well. Cons: the people above us in our room were very loud, stomping loudly back and forth across the room for close to an hour before we called front desk. The hot tub needs an upgrade (a new paint/coating job on the actual hot tub). Fireplace in our room didn't work and the TV in the main area was very snowy so we couldn't use that one. (not that we were there to watch tv) Pros: All staff we dealt with were very warm, friendly, nice and accomodating. When we asked for a different room due to the noise, expecting another 2 queen bed room, they actually gave us a complimentary upgrade to a loft suite with 3 separate bed areas and a kitchen (the Tekkata room I think?). It was WONDERFUL. TV's in every room, one bed up in the loft, one bed in a bedroom with a door that closes and the couch pulled out as well. We loved it so much that we will be back. If anyone has stayed at the Douglas Fir Chalet's in Banff, this place outdoes them by far in my opinion. They also had a nice gas firepit area by the main lodge, they have fat bike rentals, snow shoe and ski rentals as well. An outdoor hot tub and a gym. The staff were also on top of snow removal as it had snowed probably 3 to 4 inches overnight and they had most of the roadway cleared by the time we left for checkout. This place is a little paradise that I feel is similar to the resort on Dirty Dancing (the original). The look of the cabins at night, with all the lights on and the wooden staircase on the property all lit up was beautiful. For those who aren't familiar with the area, there is hiking trails right there, a little island to see, skating when the ice is in good condition (it wasn't when we were there), the rentals they have, the hot tub and such, and it was very quiet other than the upstairs neighbors we had originally. Beds were a bit more firm that I like them but I still slept fairly well which isn't common for me in hotels. They do have a restaurant on site that we checked out the breakfast menu for - to me it was very high end, not a lot of options so we just went into town somewhere which was fine. Personally, I feel the $280 price tag for a simple 2 queen bed room is steep but I also recognize the location and uniqueness of the property factors in here. Can't wait to go back!

Overall a great hotel. When we booked our room, it said we had a private patio. We had just settled in and started relaxing and all of a sudden all of these families started strolling by our patio. So much for a private patio. So don’t plan for that. When you book this style of room, you’d like to keep the blinds open for the view and not have to worry about closing them to change or anything but with people walking directly in front of your room and looking in, be careful. We used the outdoor hot tub. It definitely could be re-done. It has seen much better days. The sauna area and washrooms definitely need some tlc. It blows my mind how much you spend to stay at these places and it seems nothing gets repaired or just made a bit nicer. Wifi hardly worked in our room, kept disconnecting.

Very disappointed with Pyramid Lake Lodge. My now husband proposed to me on the island and we were set to get married at pyramid lake until the fire happened. We came back to pyramid lake to celebrate our anniversary in the place we so wanted to get married. Once we got into the room, the first thing we noticed was how small it was, the smell of urine, a missing ceiling tile, blood on the front door and that we were put in a joining room that had 3 dogs on the other side. We had requested a pet friendly room as we brought our own dog, but placing 2 rooms with dogs next to eachother was asking for a disaster. We could hear everything from the joining room. When I laid down on the bed, I immediately got an allergic reaction. I am only allergic to cats and some dogs, so this told me part of the bedding was not washed properly. We asked for a different room, and the receptionist did apologize, but there was no customer service aspect to the interaction. Nothing was offered for the inconvenience of a) having a dirty room b) being joined to another room that had dogs and c) having to repack everything to relocate. Our new room had a noticeably cleaner smell, but once we got into the bathroom, the ceiling fan was caked in dust, there was staining in the sink, pubic hair in the tub, and a long strand of black hair sticking out of the shampoo dispenser. We were on the bottom floor and could hear everything above us. The sound proofing of this place is minimal. There was no follow up to see how our new room was. For the price you pay, our expectations were high and the lack of standards and care for the customer experience was disappointing. They also charged a resort fee… but there were no amenities other than 1 singular hot tub. There was nothing resort like about this place. If management reads this post, I would like someone to follow up with me. I have attached photos of some of the complaints.
