The Crimson Jasper receives generally positive feedback, highlighting its convenient location, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms, especially the bed and hot tub. However, parking can be challenging, and some guests have noted minor maintenance issues like fridge noise and shower door problems. While many appreciate the hotel’s amenities and overall cleanliness, there are occasional concerns about noise, particularly from hallway sounds and train traffic.
The BEST hotel bed/bedding I've ever experienced lol and that means a lot to us!! And large dog friendly which was awesome, however they did not inform us if the $25/per pet fee when I called to ask, so it was a bit surprising when we got here but I do understand. The parking... absolutely horrendous but we also drive a large truck. That being said we were there Tuesday-Thurday, in March, and couldn't find a spot anywhere so I can't imagine busy season!
Came up to Jasper with our kids to go skiing. Overall the Crimson hotel was solid. Room was comfy, nice view of mountains, and solid pressure in the shower. Hot Tub was nice at the end of a long ski day. Location was good too, able to easily walk to restaurants in Jasper. Only issue was that I would have liked to have daily housekeeping without having to call the front desk. Would stay here again though on our next skiing trip.
Decent place to stay in good location with friendly helpful staff. The room we had was clean and spacious but did have some problems with the fridge noise and toilet flush sticking (as noted by another reviewer). I was a bit disappointed that a query I submitted via the hotel's WEB site before travelling went unanswered. However, apart from the minor points above it was a good stay. The bath towels were lovely BTW!
The mini fridge in the room had a compressor that is failing, so it made noise constantly. The toilet in the room I think was suffering from hard water as it would sometimes stick where the water was always running in the reservoir. The door to the bathroom was not well adjusted as it would stick(or get wedged against the floor) and have to be forced closed. The beds were very soft, so were the pillows, not ideal for me but I could see some people liking it. The tv in the room was a recent model smart tv so it was super easy to broadcast programs from apps on your cellphone. Service from staff was excellent. The restaurant in the hotel is great. The pool and hot tub are a decent size and worth using.
I stayed in a kitchen suite at The Crimson in Jasper, and this hotel is a true gem. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and modern, and you can clearly see that everything is properly cleaned and maintained. The beds were very comfortable. Our balcony had a side view, but we could still see the mountains, which was lovely. The train passes in front of the hotel, which didn’t bother us at all, but they thoughtfully provide earplugs for guests who are more sensitive to noise. We needed extra pillows and towels, and housekeeping was fast, efficient, and always offering additional help. We also needed assistance from maintenance, and the technician was very friendly and helpful as well. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food that is well presented, which was a great bonus. The location is also convenient, being around 30 minutes from Marmot Basin ski area. If I had to mention a downside, it would be that during high season or busy days there isn’t enough parking around the hotel, and for a family of four it would be nice to have a slightly bigger room than the kitchen suite. Overall, I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend The Crimson for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Jasper.
Came here on a girls trip with my 2 daughters. Rooms were big and spacious and had a Balcony. We enjoyed the Hot Tub. The Terra Restaurant did not disappoint the Terra Benedict was on point! Pam made the the girls trip that much more enjoyable ?
First off, shout out to Pam at the front desk for being such a friendly and kind first point of contact!! She seemed like someone who genuinely enjoyed her job and made us feel welcomed. It was very refreshing and she really set the tone for our weekend in Jasper! :) Very convenient location and within walking distance of nearly everything you’d need! We got surprised with a room upgrade at check in and the 2 bed with kitchenette was a nice surprise - it had everything we needed and more. Very clean and the furnishings were up to date. The earbuds were a very nice touch - not for the train as the card suggests but cause the walls were quite thin and we could hear people out in the hallway (there was not a lot of foot traffic outside of the morning when people were leaving though but it is something to note, especially if you are a light sleeper or more sensitive to noise ). The washroom had everything we needed and plenty of towels! However the shower door kept sliding open and the detachable handheld shower was a bit inconvenient - it kept sliding down when we pushed it up and it just didn’t want to stay up. We made it work in the end but was a bit annoying as two taller folks.
You find out what a place is really like when something goes wrong. I arrived after a long trip on a freezing cold day and realized I'd messed up my booking. I had reserved the room for the wrong date. The staff couldn't find my reservation, but they could see I was exhausted. They gave me a room right away while they figured things out. A no-show fee had already hit my card, but after talking with management they refunded it completely. They gave me the room at my original price, didn't charge me extra and even upgraded me. Everyone was friendly and genuinely helpful throughout the whole thing. This is the kind of service that makes you want to come back. Highly recommend.
The beds are comfortable and the location is great, but it goes downhill fast from there. The building is loud. It amplifies sound from people in other rooms and the hallway - A LOT. This was not a minor issue, it kept us awake at night. The issue is not that people are loud, it's that the engineers and architects messed up when designing and building the structure. Walking noises from the hallway and from rooms above are the worst of these issues. The problem is not with voices of other guests, its a booming of people walking any other mechanical/plumbing sounds that reverberate through the floor and seem to amplify. Note: I have hearing loss significant enough to require hearing aids and these noises kept me up at night. *Rooms on the top floor are your best choice to minimize these noise issues. We suspect that those reviews that say the building is quiet were in rooms up there. Less significant issue: We upgraded to a "studio" room but cannot imagine a more basic room than it was; the bathroom was TINY. Remember, that any hotel close to the town center will not have adequate parking, this hotel is one of those. We often come to Jasper and have stayed in many places; this hotel is at the bottom of our list now (and it cost the most we've ever spent too).
The reception staff are amazing, so helpful and kind. Big thankyou for grace with our changes. Can't fault the service and the room was so good Thankyou for having three sides on your washable doona instead of too small sheets that come untucked 10 seconds after getting in bed lol (I actually mean that is a big plus vote haha). Great walking distance from and the restaurant dinner was delicious. Overall was a beautiful and special white Christmas at the Crimson ?
