Marmot Lodge offers a conveniently located and generally affordable base for exploring Jasper National Park. Guests consistently praise the friendly staff and well-maintained facilities, particularly the pool and hot tub area. However, some reviews note dated room conditions and occasional issues with noise levels, especially near the train tracks.
Special shoutout to Mia at the front desk ! Thanks Mia ! She helped us find our missing backpack and forward it to our destination. We only spent one night in Jasper so we didn’t get to do much . The hotel location was great.
Stayed in the new renovated double queen Excellent finishes and quality furnishings Beds and bedding very comfortable Pod coffee makers with 10 pods and creamers nice touch Walk in shower with bench modern and clean It was a Westin 5 star feel with nice pool hot tub area and plenty of chairs in and out to enjoy Staff were very attentive to all our needs Definitely wiuld book again and appreciated the deal By booking directly with front desk Thanks william
Great value stay with surprisingly awesome amenities Marmot Lodge ended up being exactly what I needed for a clean, affordable stay right on Jasper’s main strip. The location is super convenient—you can walk to pretty much everything, and parking was easy. The rooms themselves are a decent size. Nothing fancy or over?the?top, but clean, comfortable, and totally functional for a Jasper trip where you’re out exploring most of the time anyway. Where this place really shines is the pool and spa area. The indoor pool is great, and the hot tub + sauna combo is perfect after a long day. The change rooms are huge and even have showers, which is a nice touch. But the best part? The outdoor hot tub. It honestly felt like a mini Nordic spa set up right in the parking lot—in the best possible way. Sitting out there with the mountain air was a highlight of the stay. Bonus: their sister hotel next door has a FLO EV charger, which made things super convenient. Checkout was easy and could be done right from the room, which I always appreciate. Overall, if you’re looking for something clean, comfortable, well?located, and budget?friendly, Marmot Lodge is a solid pick. Great value for Jasper.
This is an excellent place to stay. It’s located at the entrance of Jasper, a bit away from the town center, but still within walking distance. Parking was convenient, the room was spacious, and the staff were very friendly. Overall, a great experience.
The indoor pool connected to the hot tub is very nice, I played catch with my son, the sauna was clean and perfect temperature. Also, the outdoor hot tub is amazing, some of the jets sure broken though. There is a on site Starbucks which has great service and amazing employees. We got a free upgrade to a deluxe room, and it was worth it. You don’t come to Jasper for the glamorous hotels, but this one fit us well.
Great hotel. Rooms were very clean and well appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only gripe would be the pool was a bit shallow, but the facilities were great.
Rooms are dated, probably built in the 60's or 70's and remodeled early 2000's. Ridiculous price for the accomodation, equivalent to a Super 8 in the US, yet I paid $350/night. Not even in the downtown area. On the plus side, staff were friendly and helpful. While the market might command that price due to the effects of last year's fire, that wont last.
We didn't end up staying here because the room smelled like smoke and there were no other rooms, but the front desk women were phenomenal at helping us. I want to call out Sophie in particular -- she checked us in quickly with a positive and cheerful attitude and then gracefully handled the situation with confidence and authority. She swiftly worked magic and was able to find us another room at another property because the lodge was all sold out. Thank you Sophie!
We booked 2 nights here to use it as our base to discover Jasper and the national park. The room is cosy and has a bit of a motel room feel. It’s just like in the movies. Nothing too fancy, but basic good stuff. Other than the airco hum it was a quiet place. We slept well. There’s free car parking, we found a spot easily every time. There’s a Starbucks across the parking lot so breakfast was easy. For lunch and diner you have restaurants in Jasper on a walking distance. A good place to stay when exploring the area.
Service is really poor. Double charged room and am unable to get a refund of nearly $1,000 even after 9 days. The accounts and management team needs to be better at managing their accounts. Clear caution note to all overseas visitors - it’s really not worth your effort and time. Please kindly provide a proper way to escalate this matter - we are still pending payment at point of writing.
